Sorry I have a little bit of trouble with drivers. But, I have a 6600GT and an nforce 4 board. Do I get the Nvidia visual drivers and the nforce4 standalone? Or just nforce unified? or what???

go to www.nvidia.com
click on the download drivers tab
pick your chipset driver
download it
pick your video card driver
download it

install chipset driver
install video driver.

the unified driver isn't a driver for both your chipset and your video card, if that was your question.

ah i see, yeah i'm assuming that if you have the nforce 4 chipset you'll need the nforce4 standalone driver.

unifed if for nforce-nforce 3 chipsets!!!! install the nforce4 standalone drivers.

Make sure you uninstall the old chipset drivers in the add/remove programs list. Unless this is a new build.

Yes, standalone nforce4 but I wouldn't remove any previous chipset drivers first - just install new ones on top. Video drivers are different, you should remove previous versions.

nvidia says to remove the chipset drivers first. reboot, and then install the new ones.
