nForce4 SLI Replacement Coming Anytime Soon?

MDE

Lifer
I'm considering selling off a few older parts to fund an upgrade and as a backup plan, I'm looking at a new nForce4 SLI\Ultra board just in case my nForce3 Ultra board doesn't like running an X2 3800+. Is there a replacement for nForce4 coming down the pipeline anytime soon? If their SLI x16 chipset and their integrated graphics chipset are all that's coming for the time being then I'm not going to bother waiting. Thanks for reading my rambling 🙂.

Don't know when the nForce5 is supposed to come out, but I thing (not sure) that it's for Socket M2. So, if it is, that makes the nForce4 SLi the best you're gonna get for 939 😉 .

Chipsets aren't socket dependant. Just look at the few 754 nForce4 boards.

Well, nVidia is suppose to be coming out with the NF4 boards with onboard video next. that's probably 6+ months down the road as there isn't much info on it. I figure after that is when they will think about NF5 boards which will probably have onboard video as an option from the get go ATI's mobo chipsets are putting a little pressure on nVidia to get better. This is a good thing.
