Nforce4 RAID set question

I have a 3 drive RAID 0 stipe on an Nforce4 motherboard. I've since broken the system down and put it back together. The only thing is that I think I mixed up the cables. My questtion is...does the Nforce4 RAID program "tag" the drives so that it can recognize their correct positions in the stripe regardless of what order the cables are plugged in? I haven't gone through a complete boot yet, since I'm working on other problems in the system...but the RAID stripe comes up as "Healthy", but will this actually work?

any help is appreciated.

I don't know about three, but two works either way for me. I sure hope three works for you. If the stripe is seen correctly then it sounds like you are OK.

thanks. And if you actually swapped your own cables to try this out you are a brave soul. I'm guessing that if the chip can tell which order you drives should have been in after swapping 2 cables, then it must have marked the drives, which makes sense. If that's the case, i'll be ok with any order or placement of drives.

thanks
