nForce4 nTune Question - Lockups with applying Profiles

I just built an nForce4 system with an A8N SLI, 3000+, PC4000 Corsair RAM.

Problem is whenever I use the include nTune program to overclock... the system will instantly lock up with the SAME settings that work fine if I set them in the BIOS and boot with them.

It's driving me nuts because it is such a cool program. I would like to be able to use it because then I can leave my system at stock speeds while just browsing the web or working on the desktop. Then when I start up HL2, I can have nTune kick in with a profile and overclock the system.

Any help or info on the subject would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks.

OC'ing from Windows has always been finicky... what I can't understand is why you wouldn't want to run OC'ed all the time anyway... you would see the benefits in all apps not just games and if you have sufficient cooling it shouldn't be an issue.... At this point simply let it go and find yourself a nice stable overclock...
