according to this page in AT's nf4 overview, it says that there are functional differences between the plain nf4 and nf4 ultra while overclocking. however, everywhere else i read on the forums and on the product page at nvidia for the nf4 say that there is no difference between the nf4 and nf4u other than sata, and networking.

is there really no difference between the two? looking to save a few dollars on the mobo i am planning to get the msi neo4-f and mildly overclocking a 3000+ venice. I dont care about sata or the extra networking features that i will never use.

The Hypertransport on Ultra is normally 1000mhz whereas the regular vanilla NF4 is *normally* 800mhz. If you dig around, you can find reviews that show this difference is very minimal in overall performance. So in some cases the 1000mhz would help the system OC better, depending on how the BIOS is set up to utilize multipliers etc.
