Nforce3 vs. VIA K8T800?

Whats a better chipset? I was looking into new motherboards and was wanting to keep it AGP. Reason why, is because Ive had some compatiblity issues with VIA chipsets and my ATI 9800 pro (anyone else hear of this?), but other than that, what are some other distinguishing factors between the two.

look for a mobo with nforce3 250gb, thats the fastest nforce3 chipset. And its the K8t800pro for VIA. they both got the same speed, think the nvidia is better for oc, cant remember bout any special or important feature the Nvidia chipset has. Look for an MSI Neo or Abit AV8 board + a 3000+ or 3200+, take care to buy the latest Venice core, not the Winchester.

nForce3 has better features, better performance, and better stability although it does depend on mobo implementation. Most nForce3/4 and VIA boards for that matter are buggy as hell.

Bar, nothing against your personal opinions, but you should stop seeding FUD into every single thread that doesn't favor nVidia. Now.

The truth isn't FUD. Your experiences just don't measure up to fact and experience. It's funny to hear you say that I favor nvidia, that just goes to show you how clueless you are about me. I favor the best product(s), period; regardless of vendor. VIA is junk in comparison to what's out there. You may think it runs "fine" but subpar performance and stability is not "fine" in my book, or that of most others.

I vote nforce 3. Using epox 8kda3-j and oc's great. mobile 3000(1.8) @ 2.6 but I run it at 2.4 because I dont feel the need to push the envelope much
