Hello, i just sold my current computer. I need to ship it to this guy but we agree'd that I would ship it when I picked out all my parts and built my new one. I've already recieved his money. I'd like to know when nForce3 250 is released, and if you don't have a date please post the ballpark. Please legit answers and not "my dad's friend's brother's sister told me it comes out in like a month."

Personally, I heard it's going to be sometime this month. I want the Chaintech Zenith 250.

Thank you.

How in the world did you find this? You couldn't have just Googled...can't be that easy.

They have zero in stock, but say they can ship in 24 hours.

That's interesting; the board hasn't officially been released yet! It's bad enough that I even see the word "NF3-250" but actual "for sale" pages is sheer torture!!! :Q

"This product is in stock but not in Axion's Houston warehouse. It will be shipped within 24 hours of your order."

Say what??? This is quite well for a product that has not even been released yet!

Someone called them in another thread. They 'might' have some next week.... or not.

Isn't Axion notorious for posting items that aren't on sale yet ... and for what will eventually be outrageous prices?

Chaintech will probably be the first to have boards done. There are a few revisions of the nf3 250 chipset and chaintech went into production with one of the earlier ones. Considering they had working samples early january, i am really not surprised if they have already started shipping limited quanitities.

So what are the performance on these "working samples?" Does anand know and is held back by some NDA?

Well the last thing I would want out of a new chipset is "one of the earlier on". I will wait until at least two different boards are released before I even make a judgement, let alone buy one.

It's official. Axiom told me they will have these motherboards next week tuesday/wednesday. I can't wait, personally.

I came across the Asus K8N-E DX NFORCE3 250GB here. It is listed but not in stock, and the price is obviously very wrong ($7). Still, there is a hint that it is coming. Not long agao Hardocp had some pictures about this board from a brochure or retail box.

I also read a post by Angry Gamer that the DFI NF3-250 board is coming but no gaurentee it would be available by the end of March.

I finally broke down and ordered the Aopen AK89 Max and an A64 3200+. I couldn't wait. Or more correctly, I wouldn't wait anymore. Mwave has a $20 rebate on the board for a net price of about $100. For awhile that will be fun to play with, and I hope to see 2300 MHz on air (it's a goal at least). I have 512 Mushkin BH-5 memory, an SLK 948U, a 92mm Panflow M, and, if it turns out useful, a Swiftech MCX159-A chipset cooler that I bought for my 8RDA+ but didn't end up using. The Aopen website says that the AK89 Max has working pci/agp locks. We'll see.

I was going crazy waiting for boards that may or may not have what I want with unknown availability dates. And there is always the possibility of early release quirks. So, now I am thinking my next window will be socket 939 or the new Intel boards (775?). That could all change, of course, if NF3-250 is a monster overclocker... If that turns out to be the case, then ....
