nforce2 to nforce3 upgrade

I want to do the Frys Sempon3100+ with ecs nforce3 deal for $79.

Currently running an AXPM2500 @ 2.2ghz on an nforce2 mobo.

Can I just slap the new system in my current rig, or should I expect a complete format/re-install ?

Thx

I would definitly recommend a reinstall, that said when I went from my Asus NF2 A7N8X DLX to an Epox NF3 no changes were needed to atleast load windows, sure it installed a bunch of new drivers and ran like crap but it did "work" Either way do a fresh install just to be safe...

A clean install is a last resort IMHO. Uninstall all of the nForce drivers in add/remove, reboot to safe mode and run driver cleaner, then install the new board, then install the new nForce 3 5.11 drivers. Worst case scenario you can do a repair install.
