Probably most close to your 420 because it uses your system memory. Its a GF4 MX Core but the memory is based on the speed of yourr system mem. Hope that helped.

I think it uses a 440 core.

"The nForce IGPs also incorporate HyperTransport?, a high-speed bus for increased data throughput, and the industry's only dual 64-bit DDR memory architecture, providing unsurpassed system performance and a staggering 6.4GB/sec. with DDR400 memory--the highest system performance available today." (http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=nppa)

GeForce4 MX 440 Fill Rate: 1.1 Billion Texels/Sec.
Triangles per Second: 34 Million
Memory Bandwidth: 6.4GB/Sec.
Maximum Memory: 64MB

I know it's going to be bandwidth limmited; I was just wondering which version of the core that it is based on. GF4MX cards are DX7 and not DX8, correct? I know the 420 isn't; my girlfriend's parents bought a new Dell around christmas that has one of these.

I remember a review of the MSI Nforce2 board at FiringSquad.

They mentioned that the Nforce2 IGP was basically an update from the original Nforce IGP which had been based on the DirectX7 GeF2MX line. The new Nforce2 IGP (GeF4 MX) was intermediate to MX 420 and 440 based on the specs given for that board. So, I guess that means its probably also DirectX7 ... but I don't recall the article specifying. Check out the link to see ...
