Hi, i have 2 sticks of 512MB Samsung PC2700 and a MSI KT3 Ultra2, this memory could do 185MHz.

I'm thinking to get a nForce2 board, but I'm seeing people having trouble with this setup.

Anyone is running nForce2 with Samsung PC2700 here???

Certain sticks of 512MB Crucial PC2700 will not work with NForce2 chipset. I just sent a stick back to Crucial because of this...

I've only seen it being Crucial's problem with their PC2700 line. And its not a pervasive problem, some people have got them to work correctly, others aren't so lucky. If you really want to make sure, get some Corsair. :D

Add 512MB sticks of Kingston ValueRam PC2700 to the list of memory to avoid when using nForce2 motherboards.

Just to know, your memory is C-TCB(Samsung PCB) or D-TCB(Generic PCB)?

Thanks.

Ditto. That and Crucial...if only I'd waited a week longer before buying memory, I would've known.

I have 2 sticks of 256MB Samsung PC2700 (all samsung, no generic parts) running at 200mhz, 6-3-3-2 on a MSI K7N2-L, and an exact same memory configuration on an Abit NF7-S.

Yeah, I'm running 2x512 sticks of Corsair in my Chaintech 7NJS, and although it won't do CAS 2 like originally advertised (back in Jan., I think they've changed it now) it's currently doing 190 in my board. It's good stuff, and I'd probably buy from them again, albeit after a little more research.
