IGP has the onboard Geforce4mx graphics and the SPP doesn't. Some boards have many extras and some are spartan. Tell us what features you want E.G. SATA, Soundstorm, RAID, onboard video, S/PDIF, extra USB2.0 brackets, ect... or the lack thereof and we'll recommend boards :)

Boards w/ IGP don't seem to overclock as well as non-IGP versions.
Boards w/o IGP mean you have to spend some $$ on a video card.

I'm pretty happy w/ my MSI IGP board. :D

Yeah, basically to combine the above two posts,

The IGP Northbridge has an inegrated video set based on the GeFrorce MX. Because it has to use system memory instead of its own dedicated ram, you'll have more issues with speed and overclockability. Dedicated video ram on any decent card is faster than regualr ram. Also, you'll want at least 2 X 256Mb of ram preferably PC2700 or above.

With the SPP you lose the integrated video which means you can buy any AGP 3.0 based card you want. This allows you to have the best gaming performance and because the system ram is used solely by the cpu, you have more stable overclocks.

Basically, if you want to save some money and don't need hardcore gaming, then the IGP will work fine. I'd use it for a net box for my grandmom or something. Or possibly in some sort of router solution.

Nforce2 IGP+MCP2-T Chipsets:

MSI K7N2G-ILSR
Epox 8RGA+

OR

Nforce2 SPP+MCP-T Chipsets:

Asus A7N8X Deluxe
Abit NF7-S
Epox 8RDA+
Soltek 75FRN2-L

This are the mobo's that I have choosed to put in to my new system but don't know which one to buy. Just want to know which one is the best. I am not the heavy OC'er. Please help me out. Out of this MOBO's which is the better buy for your money? Thanks.

Well, since I did buy it, the A7N8X delux. I needed the dual NIC so I could connect to to separate networks. People question Asus's reliability, but in truth they're pretty solid and the A7N8X delux has been the fastest board available for the Athlons. The Epox can OC a little better depending on the setup, but since you stated thats not your plan then there you go.

So basically, you have the A7N8X delux or the Epox 8RDA+ that are solid but have different features. If you need the dual NIC and the fastest board then get the A7N8X, if you don't need everything then you can save some $ and get the 8RDA+. Eitehr way you'll need to spend on a GPU of your choice.

If you don't need really great graphics, then you can get the new Abit board with the IGP. You'll save some more $$ which means you can spend more on quailty ram and a better cpu. It just depends on what you want.

I have a little different view. I moved from the Asus A7N8X Deluxe, which can't increase the voltage to the chipset, to the Epox 8RGA+ which can.

I was only getting 172Mhz FSB with the Asus, and now I can run 207Mhz FSB with the 8RGA+. (The IGP seems to allow increases in the chipset frequency, so to me,... the IGP boards are better OC'rs. ) As evidenced by my personal experience.
