NForce2 + 6800 + GART drivers = artifacts?

I just upgraded from a KT600 to an NForce2 Ultra 400 and did a clean install of XP SP2, with the latest chipset and video drivers.
Now anything 3D related will have artifacts in the most extreme way possible.
i.e. dots all over the screen, polygons appearing that shouldn't be, etc.

Previously with the KT600 board (Albatron KX600 Pro), everything was fine.

I brought everything back down to stock speeds/voltages and tried installing older video drivers, and even unreleased beta drivers and nothing worked.
Thinking that only the motherboard changed, I uninstalled a few drivers here and there and when I uninstalled GART drivers, the artifacts disappeared.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is this a known issue?

Are you running everything at stock speeds? Was everything at stock when you installed Windows?

And is the 6800 modded in any way?

So are you saying that a reformat fixed it?
Or did Sapphire give you another solution?

Thats strange...the only problem I have is when my 6800GT runs 3dmark 2k1...if I leave my AA and AF settings to what I game with in the CP alone 3d mark runs fine...as soon as i turn off AA or AF I get about 4 second into the first demo and then my screen corrupts...but myself Id really give a fresh format a shot and see what happons.
also have you tried to go back to a driver set that didnt give you problems?
