nForce riser cards

Does anyone know if mobo companies are bundling the riser cards with the nForce boards?
Don't you need the riser card to actually use the 5.1 sound and LAN?

Thanks

I'm not exactly sure how this is going to work. Some manufacturers will be bundling cards with their boards. I've seen a few with different connectors. Some of them have 6 analog audio outs, others have just the S/PDIF (which would be fine for alot of people), some with Ether, others no.

I guess we'll know when the boards hit. Personally I'd like one with just the SPDIF and Ether, and that would be fine for me.

you need a header card (that's my word for it... the digital sound is probably a board connected to an onboard header). LAN can be built onto the I/O port.. they will give you a I/O plate to replace on your case for it... usually next to the USB.
