does it make a difference if you check "nvidia storage driver' when your installing your nforce drivers? Is there any benefit?

In the past at least, there were some compatibility issues with the nVIDIA drivers, hence they made it an option and many people took a "don't enable it if you don't need it" approach. You need the nVIDIA drivers if you're setting up nVIDIA RAID, but otherwise the standard default drivers should be fine.

I believe that you should install them - the newest ones from the NVidia Website, that is.

But do it separately - I know that they come in 1 installer package:

Install Network (but Say NO to the Firewall at the end) - Reboot.
Install Chipset - Reboot.
Install Media Shield (IDE/SATA) - reboot.

They will give you extra features, like the Transfer Rate tests etc.

Good luck!
