If I turn the environmental audio in Diablo II (yes, I still play it at times) on/off a few times, my nForce freezes. I am running WinXP Pro on the nForce, only using the built in components. I am using the most recent MSI BIOS (2.3), as well as the nVidia reference drivers. Is anyone else with an nForce board experiencing this problem?

Funny, I never got that problem in the 30 minutes or so I played Diablo II with my K7N420. Did you download these drivers. Usually when people have any sort of problems with sound, downloading nVidia's own drivers solves the problem.

As long as you have the latest BIOS and nVidia drivers, there should be no problems. Let me know what happens.

Thanks for the reply. It looks like the problem is unique to me. There are always those hard to find suble differences in software. I did install the reference drivers you linked to at the nVidia web page. I have one other problem, that I am guessing is unique to me also. When I put my old Hercules Geforce2 MX in the system, I get about 3 BSODs a day stating that on of the nVidia .dll files caused the problem. I don't remember the name of it off hand.

Over all, my nForce is very stable. I only have these two problems. The only computer I've ever had more stable was an old BX motherboard.
