The Inquierer has a an article about how Nvidia is having some trouble getting their chipsets done (Not a chipset problem, but a $$ prob I think). Seems nvidia won't be able to start mass production until end of Q3, begenning of Q4...dammit, I hate this wait!!

I wish Nvidia would just give us a date or something I mean from all this speculation I am sure they are losing a lot of potential customers.

I am jus going to wait for Palomino and if its not out then oh well for Nvidia

Avoid "The Inquirer". Or just ignore their news. I just treat it like "The Enquirer". Good for a laugh but never meant to take seriously.

The inquirer is actually very good with reporting hardware news around 90% of the time.

Just so everyone knows, it has only been reported that there's the possibility of delay, there are no reports of any internal design flaws or any manufacturing problems.

Actually the last article I read (I believe from xbitlabs), stated that mass production would start in Late August, Early Sept...looks like they pushed it back a month...crap, I hate all this waiting. I understand that is' just a month, but I can't do very much w/ a p2 450, and a built in 4mb gfx card...w/ no freaking agp slot!!! Hopefully this is a rumor, and not true...but who knows.

First off... Imho, theinquirer sucks for accurate reporting. Sure, they are fun to read for rumors. But take everything with a grain of salt.

As for the nForce delay... I've said it many times that I don't think we'll be seeing nForce motherboards on time. I would be very surprised if the anticipated release dates don't slip, maybe a couple of times.

And if it is true, then nVidia surely isn't going to confirm a rumor found on theinquirer. They'll wait for a better opportunity, when the announcement would be on "their terms". Probably not this close to an event like the Intel Developer Conference, either (where competitors could really milk the delay).

"there are no reports of any internal design flaws or any manufacturing problems."

Even if there were manufacturing or design problems, nVidia wouldn't admit to it at this point. That could be disastrous.

Seems nvidia won't be able to start mass production until end of Q3, begenning of Q4..."

If that's true, and they are referring to chipset manufacturing, they'll be lucky to be able to get enough out before Christmas.

Personally i don't expect to see Nforce boards on the market until January or February next year. The level of hype/information that we are seeing coming out about these boards just isn't consistant with an imminent release

I guess time will tell...unless we see something by Mid-Late Ocotober, I'm taking the sis 735 route, and will think about Crush 17/18 down the road.
