nForce cheaper than initially thought?

XMan

The 64-bit nForce 220, formerly known as Crush 11, is priced at $45 without audio and the 128-bit nForce 420 - aka Crush 12 - is $55 because this has got the Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.

This should mean mobos are priced between $100 and $125 depending on what they include.

What Nvidia says is that is looking for the nForce to be included in $1,000 to $1,500 machines.

Not bad at all . . .

Yeah, I read that earlier today too 😉 nForce is definitely for me...particularly a board from either Asus or Abit.

so like, if the mobo had like all the good nforce stuff with 1agp and like 3pci, it would be about 125ish? that would be pretty effing great... what are some good mATX cases? 🙂

I think the NForce is going to be that cheap people would be crazy not to do it. I was expecting something closer to $150 to $200 because of the awesome audio and the best built in video ever.

Is there any talk as to when we are going to start seeing them for sale? I need to make a computer for college within the next month to month and half, are they going to be here that soon?

If this board actually runs in the real world as good as it sounds on paper...well, NVidia is going to OWN. Period.

Late August is the goal, but Sept is probably more likely. So far teh only manufacturer to announce a nonmicro board is Asus

i wanna see the nforce and the sis735!!! hehe... tho.. i don't want sept to roll around.. that means i have to go back to school......

<< Hopefully Palomino and Morgan are not too far behind either. >>

Palonino??? where have u been?
Athlon 4
Athlon MP

Grrr i have to be in college August 15th so i have to have my computer done before that. I guess i will just have to hope for a cheaper 760mp board very soon

Hey Hanshurt, are you sure that asus will include Lan? That would be sweet.

Also, will the included audio be better than my GTXP? This board would pay for half of itself if so.

i would like the nForce, however it dosent appear that there will be any standard ATX boards at launch....unfourtunally i need those extra pci slots.....

the Asus is a standard ATX board - it's the only one though.
