Nforce Audio varies sound

Hey peoples, My roomate has a problem where his Nforce audio card, while hes playing music, makes the volume randomly increase and decrease. It's like a really bad volume fade but constantly throughout the music. Anyone run into this problem before or know how to fix it?

System specs please. Generally though, aside from the nforce1&2 with the hardware audio processing unit, using the realtek drivers can sometimes resolve issues using the forceware drivers does not.

os: xp home sp2 2002
cpu: AMD athlon xp 3000+
clocks at 2.17ghz
1g ram

nvidia nforce audio card
(integrated with motherboard)

sapphire radeaon9800 128mb

(i'm the room mate by the way)

Here is the latest from nvidia Text

Here is the latest Realtek ALC650 Text

I'd try the latest nvidia stuff first, then the ALC650 stuff if you don't have the hardware audio unit and still have issues.

So I tried both of them, and thanks for the help by the way. But both programs crash when attempting to install the drivers. Any idea's on that would be a great help too. Thanks again.

Solved the problem, I was pushing to many speakers. I had my center channel and sub hooked up through a altec-lansing speaker so it was fading between that and my real center speaker. Thanks for the help and idea's though.
