Epox 8RDA+ with 2500+ and 512 ram. Installed new Nforce drivers, audio works fine, except for MP3's. Every MP3 i've tried to play sounds like a broken record. regular Wav files don't seem to be affected by this phenomenon. what gives?
For some reason WMP 9 is playing my mp3's at 2x or 3x the normal playback speed. I have Win 98se, and I can't find where to place speed back to normal. I believe my sister's computer with XP definately has playback speed option.
this worked for me:
control panel => multimedia => audio playback - advanced properties => performance
turn hardware acceleration down a couple (2) notches
I'm hoping this is just an nforce driver problem that will be fixed soon as I like hw accel, but I haven't noticed any slowdowns (other than the type you're requesting).
