My sons computer died this past week. I replaced a bad power supply, but now when I try to boot it up I see a yellow LED just to the left of the blue one? Has CR12J2 stamped next too LED. No numbers on the post board display though? Tried unhooking all the drives, usb, and other stuff, plus took the ram out. Still got it? Any one know what the LED is for?

I have a picture of the led and its location it that will help. Just cant attach it to message.

Have you tried removing the cmos battery for a bit? I believe that code and light has to do with a power supply as well.

sometimes when a PSU craps out it takes the MB with it.

I hope that isn't the problem but you must keep that in mind.

PS: you need to save the image to an image hosting site and then post it here using the img tags.

it would also help to list exactly what board you have. a number of vendors made 680 boards and not all had leds on them.

according to the manual, you have an LCD post code display. What does it display when you boot up?
