A user on a website asked me for advice to buy a new GPU for his old rig. I recomended R7 240. He bought ASUS R7 240 and seated his new GPU. But his computer doesn't boot(actually it boots but there's nothing on his screen). His BIOS beeps 8 times. He has Msi k9n neo v3 MoBo and redrock 450 PSU.(I heard for this PSU brand first time. A low-quality PSU).
I'm suspicious of chipset's (nforce 560) lack of compatibility for new graphics cards. I have heard some bad things about this chipset like incompatibilities for some new hardware. He said he reseated the card several times and he tried another the card on an another PC to check the card's health. The card runs on the another machine. His BIOS is probably up-to-dated.
So what should he do to run the card?
