looking to upgrade parents system and am curioius if anybody has experience with this type of board.

who makes one besides epox? any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

I am using a LeadTek K7NCR18G Pro in my second machine. (My main machine is an Abit NF7-S ver 1.2 with a Radeon 9700 Pro).
The LeadTek is an exceptionally well built and stable board. I have an XP1700+ Tbred running at 168x12 at default voltage. I use inexpensive Kingston PC2700 ram but if you were to use some good PC3200 I'm sure this board will do 200 fsb. It has Sound Storm and the GeForce 4MX onboard graphics are not bad at all. I can play Quake 3, UT 2003 and Everquest without a problem with good frames. I got this board at Newegg for $112.00 shipped and if you consider you will not need a video card, sound card or a NIC, it's an excellent choice. Of course you can always add a video card if you want, (it has an 8X AGP slot also). I highly recommend this board.

I am running an Asus A7N266-E (nForce 1) on a backup machine with excellent results. I just ordered an MSI K7N2G-ILSR for a build I am working on. Should be fine for most anything but the most intense 3D games.
