Nforce 2 v2.0

I'm confused. My old KT266A just burned out, so needless to say i'm in the market for a new mainboard. Becuase I plan on OCing, I would like to know which manufactures have released v2.0 (Ultra 400) versions of their Nforce 2 boards. Has for example, EPOX or Abit? I have XMS RAM, I plan on buying a 2500 Barton, thus require a board that OC's well.

Most all have but make sure you don't buy old stock.
Some of the more popular o'clocking boards are
ASUS a7n8x-deluxe
Abit NFS-7
Soltek Model SL-75MRN-L
Epox EP-8RDA+

Just look for the bells and whistles you want first...and make sure the revision you get is second generation and capable of 200 Mhz FSB.

Asus did not. In fact, according to the most recent maximumPC Asus does not promise it can do 200x2 Mhz on their boards. I think you are best off with the MSI or Abit.

Check out the DFI LanParty NFII Ultra board:

DFI LanParty NFII Ultra

I know what your thinking " WTF ! DFI ! " but it is a very high quality board and quite a few extras as well. Very stable O/C'r with many users hitting 230 FSB. I like it even better then my ASUS A7N8X Deluxe board I have in my system. Check out the last page in the review for pict's of the UV sensitive board 😀

That's news to me. According to Asus' website, every A7N8X version can support the 200MHz FSB Barton 3200+ with the latest bios. Also there are version 2 boards that use the C18 NB chipset which is the Ultra 400 I believe. Of course, if your board does have problems with 200MHz, then you can talk to Asus about getting a board that does work.

Anyway, if I were buying an nForce board today, I'd get the Abit model. Peace.
