nforce 2 MotherBoards and bios

im thinking of upgrading to a nforce 2 motherboard but i hear they have bios that crash the board is this still true with newer versions of this chipset?. what is the longest one has owned one of these boards and do you overclock?
 
1. Asus A7N8X Deluxe
2. Owned it since January 27th (give or take a couple days)
3. Overclocked Athlon XP 1800+ T-Bred (11.5 x 133) currently at 10.0 x 200 = 2.0 GHz

No crashes since flashing the bios. The Asus at least shipped with a crappy bios, so a flash was in order.

I don't think any of the newer boards are going to give you the problems that were present back in 2002. I think most retailers stock has been cycled through by now. Hell, most retailers are starting to ship v2.0 boards!
 
don't worry - the Bios has come a long way since shipping bios of the Asus A7n8x (1001G which was, for Atecher's need, a horrible bios)

I'm running 1002A Uber and I'm loving it 🙂
 
Got MSI K7N2-L
Running Bios 3.3
Hasn't crashed even with the bios it came with (3.2 ver). Great little board, been running it only for about 2 weeks though.
