This is really odd, I usually do a WOL to my file server, which is a Abit NF7-S and it has the nforce 2 chipset with onboard NIC.
It gets the WOL packet fine, and the machine boots up, however, after that point, it won't do any activity on the NIC until I unplug/replug in the cable.
I tried different cables, and tried a different switch and it makes no difference.
If however, I don't do a WOL, and use the power button to boot up the machine, then all is fine.
This setup worked fine before, and there have been 0 updates to the system at all.
All systems use CAT 5E cables, and all cables are less than 15 feet in length.
Ideas on what the issue could be ?
