Nforce 2 Driver pacakge installation

I have a ECS 400U NForce 2 board. When I try to install teh latest Nforce2 driver package, the thing would load and just disappear? Help?

Please elaborate on "disappear". Do you mean you start the installer and it just never runs? Did you disable your AV software before running it?

If you have WinZip installed, right click on the downloaded UDP file. Choose the Extract To option and put in it's own folder, say something like C:\UDP or somesuch.

Then go to the folder where you extracted the files and run the setup.exe file manually. Hopefully this helps.

Bump for this thread. I have the same problem. The nVidia logo appears and the installshield programs starts, then it exits. I've watched task manager when I executed the setup.exe, and two copies of setup start, then terminate. Peace.

Try moving the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield to another location before executing the installer.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, it didn't work.

Did you fully uninstall the old drivers? If you did, then I suppose a clean install may be your only option.
I did using the control panel. I tried using drivecleaner once and wound up unable to load Win XP, which I then had to repair. I'm leaning toward a problem with installshield, though I don't have anything to base it on. Thanks.

Exactly same problem here, unable to find solutions anywhere... has anyone here conjured up something by now perhaps?
