nForce 2 Audio, Logitech Z-680, and Winamp

Hey. I have an nForce 2 and I'm not exactly sure if my onboard audio is good enough to handle the new speakers I just ordered (Logitech Z-680 5.1). Additionally, I have some concerns on what settings I should use for the speakers. In other words, what should the system volume be, the volume on winamp, the speakers/sub volume, the equalizer settings, etc. I would like to know if someone can please give me some tips or advice so that I may get the best listening experience out of these speakers.
