nForce 2 and video capture - WTF?!!

I've been investigating video capture setups from various manufacturers and I have come to the conclusion that there are some SERIOUS problems in this regard with the nForce 2 chipset. Pinnacle and Canopus at least are nearly completely incompatible with this chipset. I am afraid I don't understand this at all. I figured my A7N8X would be the perfect power platform (AMD wise) to do some video editing and capture. Does anyone have any insight as to the problem?
