I love all the whinning about the Refs giving Denver the game. You know what? Allowing 39 points is what lost them the game. Not the refs. lol

Poor San Diego. The Panthers beat them straight up last week, but this one was given to Denver by the officials. Ed Hochuli is usually the best ref in the league, but he boned it up tonight.

Actually, he followed the rules. The Bears got hosed on a similar call in week #1 where there was a whistle that called the play dead.

nobody is saying he cheated. we are saying he blew the call . it was a fumble (he even said it was) but he screwed up and called it a dead ball.

the NFL has said that in such situations they should let the play continue before they call it dead.

they really need to change the rules for situations like this. a Ref should NEVER decide the outcome of the game.

Technically, it was the correct call.

It was a blown call, there is no doubt about that. Denver was given a great advantage on that blown call, and it would be unfair to blame San Diego for not overcoming that great advantage.

it was within the rules. but the ref should NOT have called it a dead ball. But yes it was within the rules

Refs should not be able to decide the outcome in a game on a fuckup on their part. Technically, yes he had to abide by his fuckup, but you don't whistle a play dead while the ball is on the field in the closing minute of a game in that situation.

exactly. guys on TV were saying the refs have been told that they are to let a play continue if they are not sure. this was one situation where they should have let the play finish.

Oh Darren how we've waited for you here in Oakland. 89 yards on that drive in 3 plays, that was the best drive for the Raiders in 6 years.

That's how you know how bad the Chiefs are. Losing to a not very good Raiders team twice at home is just pathetic (I do give Oakland some credit though, they did a pretty good job today). While I was iffy last season, I am now certain it can be laid at the feet of Herm. They could have won that game at New England, but they had the worst play calling I've ever seen. It wasn't any better today. What they were thinking putting the third string QB in at all let alone as soon as they did I'll never know. I want Herm canned before the end of the season. Hopefully Carl will go after the season is over and Chan Gailey can go with both of them. Bring Al Saunders back and let him be the head coach like they should have done when Vermeil retired. Or go after Cowher, or even bring Marty back.

It's probably not a good sign that for most of today, Oakland's best player was their kicker and the Chiefs their punter. McFadden stepped it up though.

Uh..Dmac 21 carries for 164, Bush 16 for 90, a TD a piece, and they had 2 INTs on defense and 5 sacks. They had a lot of great performances today

Can you read? That's why I said for most of today and mentioned McFadden a sentence later. The kicker scored more points than McFadden or Bush did after all, not including extra points even. Besides, don't pretend like suddenly Oakland is a contender. The Chiefs are pretty obviously a worse team now, but the Raiders are still awful.

And the Bills come to KC, and will probably beat the Chiefs. Arrowhead went from one of if not the toughest place to win on the road to practically a guaranteed win. :brokenheart: :disgust:  :| :(

Stupid Chefs. Or I mean, stupid Herm and Carl (and now Chan) for ruining the Chefs.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, Herm's done. Anything other than a playoff berth should result in him looking for a job elsewhere. Carl, well know one knows about him. I believe this is supposed to be the last year on his contract (and the general feeling is people want him gone, well really have for a long time now), but some people think he has some control over the team and is basically not going to be able to be fired (he was close to Lamar Hunt, and with them trying to rebuild and Clark Hunt taking over, I don't know that they would get rid of him).

What was up with Rothlesburger not answer questions about his shoulder  ?
And not just not answering but outright avoiding it and not even acknowledging when she asked him multiple times.

The reason he didn't is because... HEY, I see the Steelers offensive line over there. Let me go congratulate them.
