NFL Week 2 POLL

Man, with every matchup but Jets i was in the majority.

Jets gonna roll the Dolphins. I'm sorry fins fans, last week was a fluke.. Gus Frerotte is not a 275 yard 2 TD guy.

My Predictions:

Detroit @ Chicago:
Chicago has a good defense that will give the young offense of the Lions problems, but they have too much firepower to be held back. Chicago's offense is truly bad, and the Lions defense is underrated. Lions win this one, 17-6

Baltimore @ Tennessee
Those poor Titans. A 5-11 team that had to cut everyone to get under the cap = bad news for everyone. They have to go from a tough game against the Steelers to an even tougher game against Baltimore. The Ravens defense will be dominant, and even Kyle Boller can throw against the Titans. Ravens win, 20-3

Pittsburgh @ Houston
I don't care what anyone says. The Steelers are not as good as they were last year. Ben Rothlishburger is NOT the best QB in the league. Willie Parker is NOT the real deal. See my comments about Tennessee above. However, Houston isn't much better than Tennessee, and that pair will probably have another big day. Pittsburgh wins, 24-13

Buffalo @ Tampa Bay
The Bucs had a good start to the season against the new-look Vikings, but their luck will fall short this week. Buffalo has a dominant defense that will keep Cadilac Williams in his place. The Bills offense might struggle to find the end zone again against a tough Tampa defense, but they will still pull it out, 17-10

Jacksonville @ Indianapolis
If the Ravens defense can't stop Peyton Manning, no one can. You will not see another game this season where Baltimore doesn't record EITHER a sack or an interception. The Jags have a bit better offense, but they won't be able to stop the Colts juggernaut, Colts win, 34-17

Minnesota @ Cincinnati
The Vikings started their first Moss-less season on the wrong foot. Cincy beat a very weak Browns team. This game should be close and high scoring, but I see Daunte Culpepper making up for his poor performance a week ago, and the Vikings pulling it out 38-27

New England @ Carolina
Two overrated teams in my opinion. What pisses me off about this matchup is that whoever wins will be touted as among the best, if not the best in the league, when its simply not true. New England put up points against a non-existant Oakland defense, Carolina failed in a comeback attempt against the Saints. Without Kris Jenkins, Carolina's defense is barely above ordinary, and the Pats are still a solid team. Patriots win, 24-14

San Fran @ Philadelphia
San Fran amazed the NFL world by beating the Rams in the opener, and the Eagles fell in a tough rematch of the NFC Championship game. Donovan McNabb may sit this one out with a chest injury, but that won't stop the Eagles from exacting revenge for a week 1 loss. Eagles win, 34-10

Atlanta @ Seattle
The Falcons solidified themselves as the class of the NFC last week. Vick still needs more development as a passer, but is showing us why he is just plain scary. Seattle needs a stronger performance from Shaun Alexander and their defense if they are to succeed, Matt Hasselback can't do it all himself. Falcons win, 24-17

St Louis @ Arizona
A battle of two NFC West....powerhouses? These teams might end up in a fight for the division crown, but neither is going anywhere special. The Cardinals won't win anything if their leading rusher is Kurt Warner. St Louis pulls out this hideous but likely high scoring match, 27-24

Miami @ NY Jets
Chad Pennington struggled in his opener, and now faces the task of bringing the Dolphins back down to earth. Gus Frerrote should struggle against the Jets solid defense, and if Pennington can avoid turnovers, they should be able to handle the Dolphins defense. Jets win, 17-7

Cleveland @ Green Bay
Losing Jevon Walker for the season can't help the Packers offense, but Brett Favre can still get it done. Cleveland is among the worst teams in the league, so look for the Pack to bounce back this week. Packers win, 31-17

Kansas City @ Oakland
In a battle of two great offensive teams, it might just come down to who has the better defense, and that team is Kansas City. KC's defense will struggle to contain Randy Moss, but they will hold Lamont Jordan much better than Oakland will against Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson. Chiefs win this shootout, 38-28

San Diego @ Denver
San Diego is coming off a tough loss at home, and Denver is coming off an absolute embarrasment. Look for more Ladainian Tomlinson + a healthy dose of Antonio Gates in this one, Chargers win 24-17

New Orleans @ NY Giants
New Orleans is the emotional pick this year, one reason being they are playing a home game this week in New York. The Giants are coming off a big win, helped mainly by special teams. Eli Manning will continue to struggle, but the Giants stronger defense will put them over the top in this one. Giants win, 21-17

Washington @ Dallas
One of the biggest rivalries in all of sports explodes on Monday Night....if only Dallas hadn't won 14 of the last 15 meetings. Surprisingly, this game is for the lead of the NFC East. Washington still has no offense, Mark Brunell won't be able to hit his WR's covered by solid Dallas CB's, and Roy Williams will harass Clinton Portis all day. Dallas won't put up 28 again against a tough Skins defense, but it will be enough. Dallas wins, 17-3

Did anyone see that 10 players got fined for the eagles/falcons spat before the game?

$7500 and $5000 fines? Why don't they just slap them on the wrist and call their mommies...
