I don't really have a problem with nfl players showboating when they score, but when Steve Smith scored for the Panthers, he should have run full speed into the end zone and then do whatever he wants...

slowing up at the 5 yard line then just walking in is just plain stupid...makes you wish someone tackled his a$$ before he made it in...

well he was going to score so that doesn't bug me. it's the celebrating of first downs or punt return tackles that i can't stand.

just like Leon Lett thought he was going to score when Don Bebe knocked the ball out of his hand before he made it into the end zone...

I could care less if they showboat as blatantly as they want to. But I would laugh my ass off if he got tackled on the 2 :)

You want to be respected? Stop sucking and tackle the reciever.

I like showboating, it shows the players personality. If they screw up by showboating before they make the play, thats their bad. But if they don't, no harm done.

NFL showboating at its finest... remember Gus Frerotte? Runs head first into the wall to celebrate and gives himself a concussion... result... did not return to game.

what...those players aren't allowed to be happy when they perform well, but the guy who scores is?
