NFL: Saints to move to LA?

Thats been an option for many yeras. Didn't read the article, Im somewhat familiar with it already. I doubt it will happen now though, that would seriously demoralize N.O. if the team up and left now. Even though I don't think they will ever play in N.O. again. They should still stay the N.O. Saints and play nearby.

I was thinking about that too. The Saints ownership spent all summer threatening to move to LA anyway if they couldn't get a better stadium deal out of NO. Now the Superdome is a complete mess. They wont be able to play there this season and possibly even next season.

It made my eyebrows go up.

I know these guys have to continue carrying on their business like everyone else in the affected area, but doesn't it seem callous to even consider where professional atheletes are going to be able to play games while in their normal playing area, people are starving and struggling just to survive?

didn't the people of LA cheer when the last two teams left so that now they could get a decent football game on tv that weekend? why would they want a loser of a team again and be forced to watch those crappy games.

plus, no one in LA is actually from their so they all follow their own home teams, except for dodger fan and fair-weather laker fan.

Not really.

The NFL's Saints will be based in San Antonio for a while. It's highly unlikely they will be able to hold their home opener Sept. 18 at the Superdome -- and they may not be able to play there at all this season.

at the bottom

The New Orleans Hornets have already been told to make arrangements to play somewhere else and they are months away from the season beginning.

I understand the logic of sending the Saints to LA but if I was a die-hard fan (go Pack!) I would want them as close to possible to me so I could still get there. I think LSU should be their first choice.
