especially when any team with an excellent lock record will start resting starters near the playoffs

Big deal. The Colts have beaten Indy before and they'll do it again next weekend.

I also think neither team will go undefeated.

The Colts went 12-0 last year and looked far more dominant then compared to the Colts or Bears this year, and they ended up 13-3. Arizona should have beaten the Bears, which is not a good sign that they'll go undefeated. And the Colts have had to comeback in the 4th Q in far too many games this season to expect to do it in all of them. Then there's the whole resting of players towards the end of the season, as well as road games that should offer some of the toughest challenges yet (especially for the Bears who have a less than stellar schedule, especially up to this point).

Think NE might be a stepping stone for both, at least we will know if they are for real when they beat them, i think if chicago has a good offensive day, then it's over for whatever team they are playing,

think of what happened in arizona,
arizona is a much better team that their record shows, chicago defense came in thinking they where going to walk all over them, they where surprised, and the chicago offense did not pick up the slack, the chicago defense made adjustments and it was over for the arizona offense, all the arizona offense had to do was not mess it up, but they did so the chicago defense took over. now if the chicago offense would of been in the mix, it would not of even been a contest.

summary::::
chicago shows up with good defense/offense nobody can beat them (win)
chicago shows up with just good defense they are still going to win somehow. (win)
chicago does not show up with anybody on their A game, well this is true for any team (loss)

The Bears have yet to play a tough opponent.
I'm sure they're a very good team, but they have not yet had a real test.
Packers, Lions, Vikings, a depleted Seahawks team, Bills , Cardinals and 49ers.
They just squeeked out a win vs. Arizona.
They play Miami next week.

The Giants in 2 weeks will be their first tough game.

Looking foward!

When did the Colts beat Indy? I don't remember Indy having an NFL team when the Colts were in Baltimore? ;):p:D

I think indy is better this year than last, but still has no chance of going undefeated. I suspect the bears will end up 12-4 or 13-3

I would love a 16-0 colts vs a 16-0 bears superbowl.

I couldn't imagine the ticket prices to that!

lol, exactly what i wanted to say...

actually, i'm not sure the pats are that good this year (they are winning mostly because their division is VERY WEAK), but they always play the colts tough. i think the bears have a better chance overall, but i don't see either team pulling it off.

The Colts went 14-0 and ended 14-2 after losing the last 2 games of the season. Plus they had to deal with the distraction of Dungy's son. It was just a weird end to their season and I thought it threw them off their game a little.

The Colts have been very inconsistent this season but there's always a chance. Also, after watching the Chi/AZ game I don't think Grossman is good enough to win a game for the Bears if needed. He's a serviceable QB but not a great one.

colts run defense is terrible, even with the addition of mcfarland.

pats D will confuse the hell out of grossman, who btw, has surprised me this year.

i don't see either leaving the razor with a win. and even if they do, as stated before, the season is too long now for teams to run the table. they always rest their players when they have their playoff position locked up.
