OK, I'm not exactly sure about this so hopfully some one can help me out. I know the 8 division winners go to the play-offs, how many wild card teams go and how are they picked ( ie two best in NFC and 2 best in AFC)?

Thanks

2 from each conference. Chosen by the best record, and then after that they go by tie breakers. First tiebreaker is record within the conference, and then common opponents. IIRC.

2 Wild Cards per each conference. Wild card teams are found in the following order:

Best record
Head to head record
Conference Record
Commong opponents Record
Strength of victory
Strength of schedule
....

What he said. On another note, I think they should outlaw those without a winning record from being in the playoffs (which could happen in the NFC this year) even if they win their division or nab a wild card. I think only Philly, Atl, Minny, GB from the NFC deserve the playoffs so far.

Minny doesn't deserve in the playoffs either. NFC sucks donkey balls this year, which is strange because they have some pretty good teams on paper.
