NFL Owners Ranking

Article

Jerry Jones is second. I'm a die-hard Dallas fan, but I think Jones is a horrible owner. I have disagreed with a lot of his choices, and those face lifts make him look creepy. 😀

Where does your team's owner rank?

What the hell? How is Rooney not in the top 10? I guess building one of the most successful franchises in NFL history, as well as unquestionably the most stable, was not among the judgement criteria. What does it matter if he is old school. As long as the fans are happy, which they are, and you make money, which he does, there is nothing wrong.

As a Falcons fan, I think Arthur Blank is severely underrated at #15.

The writer claims Atlanta is an undertapped market. Perhaps, but the bulk of the area's population lives outside the city boundaries and the stadium is out of reach for too many people (they sell out every game anyway, but only after he bought the team). The rest of Georgia is not very populated, so the market is more restricted than he thinks.

With the old ownership (the Smiths), people weren't very excited. Now the buzz is there, people want to go to games and fans are excited about the team's potential.

#1 baby, just like the team! 🙂

Ok, fanboy. Say.. who won the Super Bowl last season?

Thanks to some horrible calls in Denver. It was just a one year abberation. After they win it this year, the dynasty will continue in full swing.

Oh yeah... He only put together the greatest team in the 90's and after a brief downturn has another Super Bowl contender this year. Yeah, he sucks. He should just hand things over to you. :disgust:

I'll remember that.

This guy who wrote the article is a complete tool. Davis should be in the top 5 for his commitment to winning, hiring the NFL's first black coach, and legacy of Super Bowl wins and playoff appearances.

25. Al Davis, Raiders

Raiders chief executive Amy Trask says her boss, who turns 77 on the Fourth of July, "is as vital and vibrant as ever." Unfortunately, his franchise is in ICU, with dubious talent and a miserable stadium situation made worse over the years by lawsuits, Davis' aversion to marketing (because, after all, they're the Raiders, and everybody loves them) and an initial miscalculation of a once-rabid fan base's collective fervor. The good news is that Davis cares about nothing besides the Raiders; the myth, however, is that he wants to win at all costs. That fallacy was exposed when Marcus Allen mysteriously disappeared on third downs and in goal-line situations in the early '90s, and it suffered another blow when Davis decided not to try to extend Jon Gruden's contract after the coach led the team to the AFC Championship Game in his third season.

No Johnson put together the best team in the 90's.
