The amount of Manning promos/chats are absolutely ridiculous. NBC should be embarrassed on how much coverage they gave them during opening game. Pretty pathetic.

GG. That is how real teams play.

Batch: 15/25, 209yds, THREE TDS! That's more than Manning, Brady, McNabb, and Warner are expected to get this weekend! Hahaha... GG.

I won't write them off yet.

1. It's only the first game of the season.
2. The Steelers are the defending champions and by all counts an excellent team.
3. The Dolphins played a close game up until the final quarter.

Culpepper is going to suck until the dolphins trade for randy moss.

I dont understand why everyone hypes cullpeppers so much. Honestly, does anyone see that man winning a championship? I think he is the most overated qb ever. He even shows how much he sucks with all his fumbling and intercepting, and people still claim him as one of the best to turn around a team.

How's that gonna work out?

it's not, so he'll always suck

yeah, with the way he kept throwing deep balls all game long, and almost excusive down his right side line...without a really tall and really fast WR to throw to you can't count on making all those passes. I was sure they'd start throwing some short passes to make up for their lack of a run game (you know, small but sure yardage to pick up first downs), but no, they keep gunning deep down the field...finally getting picked off deep along that right side line by Polamalu and pretty much going down hill (or falling of the cliff rather) from there.

I knew i couldn't trust Culpepper. It was either him or Batch though, and Batch played unusually well. Still, it was a close choice. I unfortunately picked Miami, hoping Culpepper would re-emerge as a decent QB. Plus the Fins won their last 6 reg season games, and Pittsburgh lost all 4 of their pre-season games, which doesn't mean much. Anyways, i could of picked either way, it was a coinflip.

A. the Steelers won their last 8 games, including the Superbowl
B. the Colts were 0-5 in the preseason last year before going 12-0...

I wouldn't go on trends. If anything the only justification that would suggest the Steelers might struggle would be the fact that Batch was playing, of which he was 2-0 as a starting QB for the Steelers (now 3-0)

I can defintely see the coinflip-ability of the game, but when you factor in homefield advantage with a solid D and running game to back up the backup QB; I was leaning towards the Steelers to win.

Look at his numbers from '99 to '04.

*Nods* Culpepper has the 5th highest passer rating in NFL history and the 3rd highest completion percentage in history as well. There's no doubt he's an amazing quarterback... he's just not going to click with the Dolphins too well.

Most of those notables are thanks to Randy Moss. And don't forget, Culpepper isn't nearly as mobile as he used to be after the injury.

He's certainly also a lot skinnier than he used to be. That's the first thing I noticed, he's a lot thinner than past seasons.
