What the shit?

I am mad enough that I have to pay an extra $5/month for the damn NFL Network but their HD broadcast isn't even in surround?

I hate Comcast and the NFL. brass.

What are you going to listen to that will be in surround sound? The commentators won't sound any better. Do you want to hear the noisy fans in surround?

Games sound ALOT better in 5.1. The atmosphere, the hits, etc, the sound of the field pre-snap.

That's 3.1 less channels you have to hear Bryant Gumball.

Ah. I don't really watch football, so I was just guessing.

Football with 5.1 is nice because you can mute the fucking center channel and knock out 90% of the shitty ass commentators. Goes for any sport really, so long as the 5.1 is mixed properly!

Exactly. The surrounds give you a fantastic "feel like you are actually at the game" experience.

I am just surprised they don't use 5.1. Especially considering they charge the most of any network for channel access.

I turned Neural THX simulated surround but it isn't the same.

The LFE channel is great when big hits :).

binister, I think other games on NFL have been DD. Don't really know. Their game broadcasts are well below the major networks in terms of quality.

sumulated surround sucks.

i noticed that they don't use real 5.1 a while ago. asi said before it seems like the NFL channel is amature night. crappy announcers, crappy camera work, crappy feed and sound.
