NFL Injuries

The Saints lost Deuce McAllister for 4-5 weeks.
The Bears lost Mike Brown for the season.
The Cowboys lost Julius Jones for 2 months.
The Ravens lost Todd Heap for 2-4 weeks.
The Browns lost Kellen Winslow Jr. for 8+ weeks (but hey, I hear soldiers get decent comp pay).
The Steelers lost Tommy Maddox for 6+ weeks (okay, that one might be a benefit).

Fantasy teams must be taking a beating this week.

someone in my league made this trade late sat. night (didnt go through before the game)

Mohammad and Tiki Barber
for
David Terrell and J. Jones

lol, turned out to be Barber and Mohammad for Terrell

What's annoying is how the media is overreacting to certain people stepping up, like DeShaun Foster. Gee, it's not like he wasn't playing fairly well last year (albeit in a limited role). 42 carries for 4.7 yards in the postseason = not bad.

I guess that's the problem with NFL coverage -- the games are spread so far apart and there are so few, that peoples' opinions of the team shift too rapidly and too far. I mean, week one, people were talking as if the Packers were the best team in the NFC. They lose to the Bears (thanks to some turnovers, no less) and everyone acts like they suck (and vice versa for the Panthers). Argh.

Kellen Winslow jr. for 8 weeks. Karma's a bitch.

You're a moron.

I'm not happy he's injured, but after hearing all offseason about his holdout situation, disrespect to his teammates, and proclaiming he was the greatest of all time before even playing a single down in the NFL, it serves him right to humble him just a bit.

E. James is doubtful next week too. Stephen Davis is still probably out as well.

Not to mention Steve Smith is out too.
