Thinking about subscribing since the team I follow isn't local, is usually blacked out anyways, and hardly gets any primetime games.

First of all, is there any kind of DRM associated with the service? Am I required to download an app, or can I stream directly through my browser? Is it locked to one device/IP, or can I sign in from pretty much anywhere, anytime to watch a game?

Are pre-aired games available to watch whenever I want, or do I only get to watch them between a certain window after they've aired?

Can I share my subscription with a friend if he wants to watch a few games he missed? Are advertisements a part of the service, including commercials as aired on TV, or ads specific to the Game Rewind service?

Is auto-renewal a PITA to cancel? I can't just go to my settings and tick a box? FAQ's mention e-mailing, calling (not even an 800 number?), or chatting... about how long does it take them to cancel an auto-renewal, and is this something I have to go through every season, or just once per account?

No extraneous DRM associated. You login and it loads a Flash player right in your browser. You can sign in from any IP (DISCLAIMER: if I remember correctly, you do have to be in the US for that specific service, so if you travel overseas, it might not let you).

Games that aired previously go up overnight after they are played -- if your team plays Sunday, it's up there Monday morning (not sure exactly what time they put them up) -- and there is no requirement you watch them during a certain time.

It's against the TOS to share with a friend. That said, if you gave him your password, it's unlikely they found out. They allow one stream at a time, if you try to do more than one, it'll drop the stream that started first.

Ads? None. They are cut out of the broadcast. They also let you watch a version that cut out all the ads and all the extra time between plays so you can watch a game in like 45 minutes.

I can't comment on auto-renew. I didn't realize that was something they did?

Thanks, sounds like a deal then. When you say games go up overnight do you mean they're only available for 24 hours, or just that there's a short wait period for them to become available and then you can watch them a week/month later or whenever?

This thread was a search result when I tried to cancel the auto-renew NFL rewind subscription I had. Canceling wasn't too big a hassle, but I did have to search for how to do it. Updating the thread because it may be helpful if anyone else has questions on NFL rewind.

The service itself is pretty decent. Games are played, then after a delay you can watch them. Video quality was good, and the edited versions with just the action is a really nice feature. They tell you how long your subscription lasts, and once a game is available, it's available until your subscription runs out. For someone like me who doesn't watch games live and can easily avoid finding out who won and what happened, it's an inexpensive way to watch whatever games I want.

I don't like their auto-renew stuff though.
1) When you sign up, they will sign you up for an annual auto-renew of the subscription and charge you every year. I consider any company that does this to be on the scummy side. Not total scum, because they tell you about it. But not the sort of business I have good feelings about. If there was a checkbox at sign up so I could select or deselect auto renew, I'd be a lot happier.

2) Canceling the auto-renew is a slight hassle. There's no link to do it that I could find. Their instructions for doing things included a statement like "click the 'my account' link" but I could never find such a link. A search resulted in me opening a chat window with their support. I told them I wanted to cancel the auto-renew. They quickly did it without wasting my time, and the chat has a nice "email" link, which allowed me to email the chat transcript to myself, which may be handy in case their billing is messed up and I have to argue with them.
