NFL Conference Divisions...

i don't get how they set up the divisions...

AFC Central - Jacksonville should in East
AFC West - Kansas City should be in Central
-----
NFC East - dallas in central and Arizona either central or west
NFC Central - Tampa Bay should be in east
NFC West - ONLY niners are from the west

does anyone know why and how they came up with this?

Dallas stays in the east because of the rivalry with Washington, and just about any other 'real' east team. That's a classic.

Placing expansion teams is to even up the number of teams in the divisions, without changing other teams around.

The placement does not make sense. BUT, it doesn't matter who is where...
