New league year, new thread.

I don't get when fans hate on the player when he changes teams. NYG choose to not pay him. RB's HAVE to get the bag, they rarely ever get a 2nd contract after their rookie one is up.
Yeah I have no skin in this beef, but kudos to Saquon for getting his bag. I suspect the Eagles kind of overpaid, but it is what it is.

To be fair, he got $26M guaranteed over 2 seasons. Which doesn't even get you 1 year of an elite WR or DE anymore. Also, we're well past the point in pro sports where we care that much about players jumping to a heated rival.

I can't wait for the draft to be over. I am so sick of local sports radio talking about it and who the Commanders are going to pick at #2. No matter who it is people are going to bitch and argue that it should have been the other guy.

Same here and just because I am sick of dumb fucking posts in the Giants groups about the draft and ridiculous draft day scenarios. Same with a million sportswriters all with insanely ridiculous trade clickbait headlines, which I don't click through, but I do see.

Back in reality, I hope the Giants stay put or trade down but definitely don't trade up for a QB.

I hate all the rumors. For the Niners it's all the drama surrounding Brandon Aiyuk. Either it's the chidlish HE'S UNFOLLOWED THE TEAM ON SOCIAL MEDIA!!! (can't roll my eyes hard enough at this tactic), how much to pay him per year (which just went up after St. Brown's new contract) or the trade stuff. Short of being able to draft Harrison Jr, it took what 3 years in the system to get great results and he's really the only pure route runner on the team that is also willing (and great at it) to block and have YAC as a side benefit. They aren't going to find a replacement for him for another 2-3 years if they draft any WR. He's more valuable on offense for anyone not named CMac or Purdy.

yeah...no more mock draft results....WTF is point of doing so many with different results....

Hoping Xavier Worthy turns out to be the between Jamaal Charles (in terms of ability; he reminds me of Charles in the undersized for his position but tougher than his size would indicate and his speed gives him this kinda shiftiness where he can slip through gaps and the way he runs even kinda throws people off with the way he strides, and he doesn't shirk contact) and maybe Tyreek (there were some plays where he was used similar to how the Chiefs used Tyreek and he has the speed to offer similar; I think the key will be if he can adapt to on the fly adjustments that happens so often with Mahomes and was what they were sorely lacking last season; I don't expect the ball tracking ability that Hill has, and which sets him apart, but Worthy seems to have the athleticism to be able to do that) he seems like he could be, and less a taller Dexter McCluster.

WTF at the run on QB's first round and WTF Niners picking a WR they could have picked in later rounds. God damn it. Make it make sense.

Here is the rationale apparently

I don't dislike the pick but man, that's an investment for something we potentially could've gotten in 2 or 3. Kinda just adds fuel to the trade talks. Apparently Deebo' AND/OR Aiyuk are on the trade block now for sure according to armchair GMs lol.
