Brock misses some passes, he can improve, I figure he will. A couple games back he overthrew a couple of guys who were wide open streaking down the field. He was better Sunday night for sure. Brian Griese is his quarterback coach, they say he recommended the 9ers watch Brock in the draft. Brock knows what he's doing, has good mechanics is my sense of it, releases the ball quickly. Those two batted balls, I felt that he waited too long, wasn't moving in the pocket. He could study tape of Mahomes, who's a master of throwing without the ball getting swatted, although that's not something you can mimic easily, Mahomes is uncanny in avoiding swatted balls. Swatted balls cost you a down at least and could result in interceptions.

there were a lot in the air that required some serious stretching for his guys. It was like...the entire first half. Staggers me that you guys didn't notice. The other way this is obvious: COllinsworth wasn't all over his dick during the game. :D During the promo, of course, Purdy was his new BFF, as usual, but as the game went on, he became way less gushy. Unusual for him and a QB, you know.

You got to see on the signs and then everything becomes obvious. You guys are fans, so, yeah, maybe everything looked great because it was a great win and they did look awesome. Still, the aim wasn't there even when they led to great catches. it's a way the page can still show great numbers, legitimately, but watching it you know some mechanics still need to be worked out. which is kinda crazy to think, because everything is working really well for the 9ers.

Also just crazy to think how much McCaffrey changing that team and everything on that field, from the moment he showed up. It's really night and day, even though they were pretty good the first half of the year without him, but damn. It's a machine with that guy. Watching that guy on this offense is yet another way to easily wipe the mind of the little bits that still need work, haha.
Yea so unless you have a clip or clips that show all these bad throws, I'm not seeing it.
They have a video of his "best" throws but this was the best I can find of a montage of his throws, I'm sure somewhere there is one of every single one of his throws, but given this, his QBR, going to disagree with your "a lot" of passes that required "serious stretching" to haul in.
I'm not saying every ball he's throwing is perfect, but if I'm grading his passes, they are mostly B+ to A's. That doesn't leave a much room for all these bad throws you are mentioning.

Sometimes I hate being right. :(

(what a depressing NY sports YEAR so far!)

I thought Joe Schoen and Daboll were more competent and they fooled me.
Schoen left didn't really address much of anything in the trenches where games are won, and the coaching has been pretty damn bad in all phases, Defense can't tackle, Offensive mistakes and poor play-calling, penalties, special teams issues.

Would be nice to get the number 1 pick though and draft Caleb.

Belichickitis is a real thing. Giants get what they deserve for benefitting from Belichick early in his career. Now the chickens are coming home to roost. No more Super Bowl appearances every 10 years. Mwahah.

I think Belichick is some evil space alien parasite.

Washington will make sure you won't get #1 overall.

I'd heard about this on my short drive in to work but didn't actually hear the interview. Holy crap lol. I mean, I wouldn't want to talk to someone that completely trashed me AND do it just before a big game that I'm trying to prepare for either, but Steve went off when his intention was to apologize. That just tells me he wasn't really sincere in his attempt to apologize to begin with. Entertaining for sure which I'm sure was the goal.

Another opening drive touchdown for the Niners. What does that make now, 5? Plus a FG to round out their 6 opening drives so far?

Smith is just a trash talker. He's always been. The issue is, nothing he said about Jeudy wasn't spot on. And Jeudy responded by clowning, which just fully confirmed what Smith said about him. Granted its all noise, and I'm not sure how much you can blame Jeudy considering the situation. Plus when you have the head coach clowning himself by shitting on the previous coach and then performing worse than him.

that broncos/chiefs game was pain

Yeah. Chiefs are lucky they've played so many shit teams, their record is a sham. The thing is, their offense is the problem as they're actually #2 in points allowed on defense. Mahomes clearly has no real rapport his receivers and they can't trust that right tackle, but even their playcalling has just been meh.

Russell Wilson, who is constantly being trashed, is having a better season than Mahomes so far. Better TD/INT ratio (more TD and less INT than Mahomes through 6 games).
