It's been driving me crazy! I've been trying to compress files using WinRAR on my striped drives for days now, but to no avail. I know the files are fine, but WinRAR shows them as being corrupted.
Finally, I got a wild hair and tried copying them to my boot drive and compressing them there...
Eureka!!!
The moral of the story, if you're having trouble with WinRAR reporting corrupt files while using a striped drive, try using a non-striped drive for the compression/extraction (it's cheaper than flying to Germany and ripping the throat out of those WinRAR developers...I know, I checked!)
BTW...the WR people are actually pretty great...it's computers that all need to be shot!
