NF7-S rev2 worth it to use sata to parallel converter for boot??

I just bought a NF7-S rev2 motherboard. Would using the sata to parallel converter to use a ata hard drive be beneficial or superior to using the regular ide channels??? I have a 1 hard drive set up no raid. any opinions appreciated Mark
 
I noticed no difference when using the converter other than the reduction in cable width. 😀
