Hey everyone,

Right now I own an Athlon 900 T-Bird running on an Abit KT7 w/ 512 MB SDRAM (2x 128 dimms & 1x 256 Dimm). I'm looking at buying an NF7-S off of Newegg for $66 and swapping over my CPU & RAM for a cheap hardware upgrade. The plan is to then upgrade the processor and RAM next month to give me something to work with while I build my Dualy Opteron system. Will the NF7-S run my Athlon 900 Mhz & 512 SDRAM (133 Mhz I believe)? Thanks for any input.

Yes, everything will work just fine.

Edit: Woops, the RAM may be a problem. You will need to upgrade that I believe.

Definitely DDR RAM.....or you can hold onto it and just start building your opetron...good luck

Isn't DDR Ram SDRAM? though i know SDRAM is not DDR....i can't recall if the KT7 supported DDR cause if it did then i know i would have bought some....just kind of rambling now, and thanks for the info! :)

DDR is SDRAM, but they are incompatible. Try sticking SDRAM into a DDR slot, it won't work.
