Here is my setup:

Abit NF7-S motherboard
Corsair 3200LL twin pack 512 mgs
2500 Athlon XP Barton
120 gig Maxtor Sata harddrive (model #6Y120MO)
All in Wonder ATI 9800 Pro

I am having trouble install winXP. I get a message that NTLDR is missing. I downloaded MAX Blast from the Maxtor site. With this disk I can get as far as installing the SIL 3112 SATA drivers from the floppy that came with the hard drive. Then I get a message that setup cannot copy the file srv.sys. I have to exit setup.

I have the Serial ATA controller enabled in the bios. But I haven't done any serial ATA RAID setup in the configuration Utility because I only have one hard drive.

I have tried to install windows again and hit the "R" key to fix what I have done so far, but nothing happens.

I have downloaded Power Max from Maxtor web site to test the hard drive and it passes all test.

There is no option in the bios to boot from SATA.

Can anyone please help me to get windows XP to see this hard drive so that winXP can install!!!!!!!
