NF7-S mother board red light indicator is on

I just picked up an Abit NF7-S motherboard as a refurb. I hooked everything up, plugged in the power supply and now have red indicator light on the motherboard. The motherboard seems to boot up just fine, however this red light continues to shine while the motherboard is on or off. Is this normal?

The indicator light is located below the onboard USB connectors on the board and is the last light in a row of indicator lights(corresponding to RF743 printed on MB?). The manual is worthless as far giving you any indepth information on the board.

Thanks for the help in advanced.

Yup. Only way to get it to turn off is by unplugging the PSU, or turning it off with the rocker switch on back.

It just shows that the standby 5v (IIRC) is "on".

BTW: Don't change gfx cards while that light is on. Fried a perfectly good Ti4200 a few years back when I forgot to unplugg b4 changing. The standby currect will zap 'em.
