NF7-s bios?

what kind of bios does the NF7-s use? the reason i ask is cuz i cant boot. i get two continuous long beeps (one low pitched, the other high pitched) and i need to know what it is

Try using the minimum components.

One stick of ram.
One HD.
One CD.
And videocard.

I got 2 beeps on memory once .. but dunno about that pitch you mention.

Also ,,, clear CMOS.

the best place for NF7-S questions is the Abit forum for nVidia boards here:

does your computer sound like an ambulance? there is a thread there about that:

apparently that is the thermal protection alerting you that the temps are too high. do you have access to a port 80 card? i have one--it is invaluable. you plug it into a PCI slot and it displays POST codes. if you are having problems booting it will tell you at which step of POST it hangs. i would check the usual suspects though:

is the memory good? try just one stick in the slot closest to the CPU. is the CPU properly seated in the ZIF socket? is there thermal compound on the CPU? are the corners sharp on the CPU? are there any visual signs of damage to the CPU die?

unplug all PCI cards leaving only your video card. try a different video card. is the video card all the way into the AGP slot? go take a break and have a soda. watch some TV. relax and get a clear head and try every over again. sorry dude, computers are very zen. you need to have an empty head and a full stomach when working with delicate electronics.
