I see that numerous ppl have this bootup problem with NF7-S 2.0 on abit forums. But none of the threads really answer if there is a way to fix this.

here is my system:

NF7-S 2.0
XP 2100+
Kingston PC 2700 Hyper-x
Maxtor 120gigz
Antec 400 PSU
Gainward Ti 4200
Santa Cruz
XP Pro SP1

-latest nf7-s bios

here is the problem:

I have to turn the computer ON/OFF a few times for keyboard/mouse to work. Like the system boots up fine, but keyboard/mouse dont work at all. but after turning on/off like 2-3 times everything works fine

and also when i restart the computer....it acts like its going to load up just fine...but it never loads up. the light on the monitor turns orange. and it usually takes a few tries to get everything working again.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME???????????

i just got this board like 2 weeks ago, brand new.

Are you overclocking at all? Also are you running the ram at faster timings?

I can get my NF7-S to run at 2Ghz (12X166) but even juts a littel above that and it does what you say. No matter what the voltage is. Also up the voltage on the CPU and Ram by a 0.10 and see what that gives ya.
