NF4 Ultra boards and 6600GT

I'm looking at a few NF4 Ultra boards (Epox 9NPA Ultra, Abit AN8 Ultra, Asus A8N-E) and with the placement of the PCI-E x16 Video slot next to the PCI slots was wondering if a 6600GT will block any of the PCI slots? I need to use all 3 of the slots so wanted to make sure I won't have any problems.

Thanks.

Not sure about other NF4 Ultra boards, but with the ASUS A8N-E,

the PCI-E x 16 slot is located so far away from the 3 PCI slots,

that certainly none of the PCI slots will be blocked.

Just looked at the photo, you're right in that ASUS located the PCI-E x16 slot at the top of the motherboard which seems to be the perfect place to put it.

Does anybody know about the Epox N9PN Ultra or does anybody have one of the Abit AN8 boards which should be the same layout as the new AN8 Ultra?

First PCI slot on the Epox 9NPA Ultra is blocked by the vid card. That leaves you the lower two to work with. I can also tell you that the middle PCI slot shares an IRQ with the vid card, at least on Win2K Pro.

What brand of 6600GT card do you have krose?

Does anybody know if the interrupt sharing also takes place on XP, and if so does that mean that I can't use the middle PCI slot at all?
